Is the “Wii U” console HD-capable? Yes!!!

There is a lot of hype centered around Nintendo’s latest video game system, Wii U. One major feature that was left out of the original Wii system was the ability to output high-definition (HD) video. The system specifications of the Wii U were released today and rest-assured, this console DOES in fact support HD. Finally, now we can enjoy family fun games at a high resolution!

Here are the official specs:
Supports 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i. Compatible cables include HDMI, component, S-video and composite.
